Our History

Letha’s Pies began in early 1990, when Letha Glenn started a very small business in her Fayetteville, AR home.  Letha made desserts (including fried pies) and her husband Tom, delivered them on a route that included Northwest Arkansas and portions of Southwestern Missouri.

A business opportunity later moved them to the Branson, MO area and into a small bakery, where they continued to build a steady business in retail and wholesale desserts.  A devastating fire, in November of 2008 destroyed the bakery they had worked so hard to build.

The bakery may have been destroyed, but the spirit was not.  Letha’s Pies reopened in May of 2009, in West Fork, AR, just outside of Fayetteville.  A decision was made to focus strictly on the Fried Pies and Letha’s son, Tim, and his wife Rhonda, took what was once a “mom and pop” business and transformed it into the manufacturing operation it has become today.

The pies are shipped throughout 9 states in the southern region, and are moving into several states in the Midwest.  13 flavors are always in stock (Apple, Peach, Cherry, Chocolate, Coconut, Pecan, Apricot, Lemon, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Blackberry, and Blueberry).  The flavors we make by special order are, Banana, S’mores, Raisin, Sugar-Free Peach, Sugar-Free Apricot, Sugar-Free Chocolate, Sugar-Free Coconut and Sugar-Free Lemon, because these are not big sellers, they take a little longer for us to make. Then of course, Pumpkin is made during the holiday season, beginning in September.

2020 was a rough year for everyone, including Letha’s Pies.  We lost our founder!  Letha left this world and went to her eternal home.  We miss her every day, but know we carry on the legacy she always envisioned.

We are happy to share a wonderful dessert with those who truly appreciate great traditional, southern cuisine!

“Words can’t describe how good they taste!”
